With a little luck, Grossas AD's Claudinei Melo got control of the ball when Tomas Elixio tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 9th minute by Tomas Elixio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gabriel Mazza struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Humberto Nerio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grossas AD. Humberto Nerio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeca Cearense in the 16th minute of the match. Zeca Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Humberto Nerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Gabriel Mazza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Humberto Nerio was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 23rd minute, Aquiles Xacintu had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 23 minutes, Anderson Donatello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grossas AD and the boca fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes Grossas AD got a freekick which was hit by Anderson Donatello. In the 26th minute, Tomas Elixio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudinei Melo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After some careless play in the boca fc defense, Gabriel Mazza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Humberto Nerio. The boca fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Nerio should have stopped the shot. Flávio Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. After 37 played minutes, boca fc's Isaias Lesardo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Claudinei Melo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in boca fc reached it. Claudinei Melo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Fabio Barto. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Elixio got free with Claudinei Melo in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind boca fc's goalkeeper Humberto Nerio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel Mazza was the one to do the kick off. Zeca Cearense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Elixio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tomas Elixio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Zeca Cearense sped through boca fc's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Humberto Nerio. After a rather tough play, Grossas AD's Dagoberto Cerezo got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute Toninho Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Nerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeca Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Humberto Nerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Gabriel Mazza fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Humberto Nerio, passed just outside the right post. Isaias Lesardo kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. When Dagoberto Cerezo came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Grossas AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dagoberto Cerezo couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, boca fc's goalkeeper Humberto Nerio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zeca Cearense. Grossas AD's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
