In the 3rd minute Liviu Gruescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Auto Esticões's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Călin Boltașu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 22nd minute, Liviu Gruescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jorge Gama received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Teodoro Magalhães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Liviu Gruescu's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, Avantul Grindu's Manuel Blajovici sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teodoro Magalhães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Liviu Gruescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teodoro Magalhães was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Auto Esticões's Teodoro Magalhães tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Teodoro Magalhães was out of position in the 74 minute of play, and Liviu Gruescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Liviu Gruescu really showed his touch with that goal: 2-6. Jorge Gama hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Auto Esticões's Teodoro Magalhães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Auto Esticões from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Avantul Grindu booed when Auto Esticões was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Colaço didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute, Călin Boltașu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Teodoro Magalhães. The goal made the score 2-7. Manuel Blajovici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Magalhães having to interfere. If Liviu Gruescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Teodoro Magalhães made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Liviu Gruescu sent off a good shot on target.
