In the 3rd minute Hanung Sephtianda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavlos Konstantakakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pavlos Konstantakakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hanung Sephtianda, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. PHOENIX SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hanung Sephtianda in the 4th minute. Dinu Bocus short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Ray Clemence to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 9th minute Valerian Podlich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray Clemence saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute of the match, Valerian Podlich tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ray Clemence saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Pavlos Konstantakakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samai Asmawan in the 16th minute of play. PHOENIX SC's Ray Clemence proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save PHOENIX SC from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Samai Asmawan came free, but Pavlos Konstantakakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pavlos Konstantakakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samai Asmawan, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The audience was convinced that Samai Asmawan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pavlos Konstantakakis was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. 40 minutes into the match, PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gianluca Balla. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frederico Hendrickx in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pavlos Konstantakakis prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
PHOENIX SC's Aryeh Markovich was substituted for Samai Asmawan. The wind increased when Gianni Balla made the kick off in the second half. Ray Clemence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianluca Balla in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Sun Chao Mo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PHOENIX SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hamburg Fighters the free kick. In the 55th match minute, PHOENIX SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sun Chao Mo to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Hamburg Fighters's Dinu Bocu got a free kick in the 56th minute. Attila Toldi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Pavlos Konstantakakis made a huge save. Ray Clemence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gianni Balla, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 79th minute Brandon Rick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ray Clemence saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ray Clemence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianni Balla in the 83rd minute of play. In the 86th minute of the match Gianni Balla shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ray Clemence showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. PHOENIX SC's Ray Clemence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gianni Balla in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, PHOENIX SC's Raka Hadiman got a free kick in the 95th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hamburg Fighters had played much better football throughout.
