The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fred Kirkpatrick in the 6th minute of play forced DS ACADEMY TEAM's goalkeeper Kyle Robinson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emil Wincek took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rhys Dimmock. Rhys Dimmock dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Daron Joseph was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 11th minute. Zamalek FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a little luck, DS ACADEMY TEAM's Kyle Robinson got control of the ball when Fred Kirkpatrick tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rhys Dimmock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Wincek in the 20th minute of the match. In the 24th minute Emil Wincek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhys Dimmock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kyle Robinson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sergey Krasinskiy in the 25th minute. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zamalek FC's goalkeeper Rhys Dimmock, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Daron Joseph could shoot a difficult shot in the 40th minute, which Kyle Robinson however easily saved by the left post. Kyle Robinson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daron Joseph in the 43rd minute. Rhys Dimmock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Wincek in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emil Wincek to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wojciech Weyna got free with Rhys Dimmock in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kyle Robinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Kirkpatrick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daron Joseph fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyle Robinson having to interfere. In the 66th minute Fred Kirkpatrick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kyle Robinson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, DS ACADEMY TEAM's Romeo Jurăscu got a free kick in the 68th minute. Romeo Jurăscu kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After 70 minutes, Sergey Krasinskiy made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. DS ACADEMY TEAM's Kyle Robinson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. DS ACADEMY TEAM's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maciej Ciemiega in the 76th minute. Emil Wincek was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 83rd minute of the match DS ACADEMY TEAM got a corner. Zamalek FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maciej Ciemiega ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kyle Robinson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Kirkpatrick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Zamalek FC's zone, Emil Wincek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rhys Dimmock came out of the goal and Emil Wincek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 92 played minutes Zamalek FC got a freekick which was hit by Reese Otto. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serafim Carioca got free with Rhys Dimmock in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A nice corner shot did that Serafim Carioca got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rhys Dimmock quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Zamalek FC had played much better football throughout.
