The supporters of Joinville Esporte Clube booed when Vascogoianiense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmílson Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vascogoianiense FC's Nelsinho Leite proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Vascogoianiense FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matheus Neto in the 8th minute of play forced Joinville Esporte Clube's goalkeeper A.J. 韩文海 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Lara in the 15th minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Nelsinho Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Vascogoianiense FC defense, Benjamin Lara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nelsinho Leite. The Vascogoianiense FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nelsinho Leite should have stopped the shot. Joinville Esporte Clube's A.J. 韩文海 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aírton Sousa in the 21st minute of play. Nelsinho Leite made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Benjamin Lara sent off a good shot on target. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Joinville Esporte Clube's Amauri Vieira in the 26th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Nelsinho Leite was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Vascogoianiense FC through an amazing save. Joinville Esporte Clube's Amauri Vieira quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Edmílson Fernandez, made in the 34th minute of the game. Nelsinho Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Lara in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Vascogoianiense FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmílson Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. Benjamin Lara might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nelsinho Leite. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Lara ran back to his position shaking his head. A.J. 韩文海 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Monteiro in the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Nelsinho Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamin Lara. A collision led to Vascogoianiense FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Matheus Neto hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamin Lara to make the kick off. Nelsinho Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amauri Vieira in the 51st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benjamin Lara in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nelsinho Leite prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 59th minute, Benjamin Lara made a precise shot to the right of Nelsinho Leite. Vascogoianiense FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Vascogoianiense FC's Nelsinho Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amauri Vieira in the 64th minute of play. Nelsinho Leite came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Joinville Esporte Clube's Amauri Vieira. But to his dismay, Amauri Vieira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Joinville Esporte Clube made a substitution. Gino Vander replaced Serginho Busquets. A.J. 韩文海 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilmar Monteiro in the 71st minute of the match. Nelsinho Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Uchiha in the 81st minute of the match. Nelsinho Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerry Uchiha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute, Jerry Uchiha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Joinville Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vascogoianiense FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Joinville Esporte Clube.
