Abelardo Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jardel Baggio, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Rômulo Custódio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olivedos's supporters rose to their feet, but Rômulo Custódio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilson Peres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. ITAFUT 4EVER were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Olivedos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jean-Paul Møffelmand took the corner. The ITAFUT 4EVER fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when ITAFUT 4EVER's José Sand looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Olivedos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sidney Bertassi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ITAFUT 4EVER eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
