Marcelo Chuan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Idalécio Carrasqueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Marcelo Chuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo Chuan in the 11th minute of play forced SC Atabueira's goalkeeper Idalécio Carrasqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Idalécio Carrasqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Chuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gianluca Kán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belchior Ribeiro in the 40th minute of play. The corner led to SC Atabueira's Jaime Eiró getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Idalécio Carrasqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Chuan in the 47th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 51st minute, Odín Wallffiguer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gianluca Kán was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The corner led Fashions del Averno's Hernan Laurendi to fire away a dangerous shot which Idalécio Carrasqueira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Idalécio Carrasqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Chuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute.
