A collision led to Rayo Tharkad getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Feliciano Roig hit a great ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 19 minutes into the game, when Emilio Doblas put in a rough tackle. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Salud y República! In the 23rd match minute, Salud y República was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauricio Astudillo to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Manolo Lacorte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Carlos Suciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manolo Lacorte might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Juan Carlos Suciu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manolo Lacorte ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 28th minute Apoena Ocaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Carlos Suciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reyes No hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Juan Carlos Suciu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apoena Ocaña in the 39th minute of the match. Rune Snäll made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Iván Vila sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute, Hondo Arratia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rayo Tharkad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Iván Vila struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Rune Snäll didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salud y República. The Salud y República players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rayo Tharkad were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iván Vila made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Apoena Ocaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Carlos Suciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Salud y República's goalkeeper Juan Carlos Suciu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Apoena Ocaña. After some careless play in the Salud y República defense, Hondo Arratia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Carlos Suciu. The Salud y República fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Carlos Suciu should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Hondo Arratia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juan Carlos Suciu. That made the score 0-4 in the 60 minute of play. In the 71st minute Apoena Ocaña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Carlos Suciu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Carlos Suciu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apoena Ocaña, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Apoena Ocaña didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 81st minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Apoena Ocaña ran dejectedly back to his position. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manolo Lacorte got free with Juan Carlos Suciu in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hondo Arratia kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute of the match Rey Guillotin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rune Snäll skillfully saved the ball. Salud y República's Juan Carlos Suciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apoena Ocaña in the 94th minute of play. The Salud y República supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rayo Tharkad's performance. The match ended with a win for Rayo Tharkad.
