Trevor John Bailey received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ofelio Bermejo came out and tried to block the shot, but Trevor John Bailey slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 10th minute. Trevor John Bailey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ofelio Bermejo having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dominic Spencer during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dominic Spencer hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Ofelio Bermejo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trevor John Bailey in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to NCA Defensor Mercenario getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. James Cagigal hit a great ball. Natasha Persaud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Torralbo, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Rik Caldueño struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Natasha Persaud didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NCA Defensor Mercenario. An unexpectedly hard shot by Todor Hostar in the 32nd minute of play forced U21 Trinidad & Tobago's goalkeeper Natasha Persaud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Todor Hostar made a kick off. If Guido Dameda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Natasha Persaud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Angostina in the 53rd minute of play. Ofelio Bermejo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mortimer Rahamut, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Rik Caldueño took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Natasha Persaud. Natasha Persaud dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. NCA Defensor Mercenario's Ofelio Bermejo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mortimer Rahamut in the 62nd minute of play. A collision led to U21 Trinidad & Tobago getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Delon Assoon hit a great ball. Natasha Persaud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Todor Hostar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Natasha Persaud was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Guido Dameda showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-4 in the 67 minute of play. In the 72nd minute Marquinhos Trinidad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ofelio Bermejo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trevor John Bailey in the 76th minute of play forced NCA Defensor Mercenario's goalkeeper Ofelio Bermejo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute Mortimer Rahamut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ofelio Bermejo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 78 minutes into the game, when James Cagigal put in a rough tackle. James Cagigal hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Trevor John Bailey scored 4-4 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ofelio Bermejo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Trevor John Bailey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ofelio Bermejo was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. NCA Defensor Mercenario were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over U21 Trinidad & Tobago's much stronger midfield.
