The supporters of Jacou booed when São Bernardo F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Penha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dino Paraibano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Igor Freire took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Adil Latchimy to make any attempt to save it. 24 minutes into the match, São Bernardo F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Hamza Fayolle came free, but Dino Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Pedrinho Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olívio Saraiva received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adil Latchimy came out and tried to block the shot, but Olívio Saraiva slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 31st minute. Dino Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonin Caulier in the 34th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonin Caulier in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dino Paraibano saved São Bernardo F.C from getting behind. Dino Paraibano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonin Caulier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of São Bernardo F.C booed when Jacou was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erwan Hoareau didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Jacou's goal looked a bit too open when Olívio Saraiva came free, but Adil Latchimy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Jacou's Bérenger Lebigot seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bérenger Lebigot the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Jacou protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bérenger Lebigot had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 44th minute, one of Jacou:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jacou. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olívio Saraiva made a kick off. In the 56th minute Yann Pincemin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute of the match Jacou got a corner. São Bernardo F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hamza Fayolle ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jacou's Hamza Fayolle was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dino Paraibano in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice moves Antonin Caulier could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Dino Paraibano however easily saved by the left post. Jacou's Antonin Caulier got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Hercule Milleville had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dino Paraibano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yann Pincemin, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Jean-Michel Demoustier charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jean-Michel Demoustier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 79 played minutes Jacou got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Michel Demoustier. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of São Bernardo F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jacou:s goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonin Caulier got free with Dino Paraibano in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd minute, Albertinho Luz made a precise shot to the right of Adil Latchimy. Jacou's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. In the 96th minute Nuno Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adil Latchimy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, São Bernardo F.C's Dino Paraibano got control of the ball when Antonin Caulier tried to sneak it across the goal line. The São Bernardo F.C players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
