Tory Weeks charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tory Weeks the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aaron Smallwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruninho Carvalho in the 15th minute of the match. Almir Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mike Richardson in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute of the match Santos FC got a corner. Mitnarotov FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Warren Ruiz ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Warren Ruiz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Almir Miranda quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Mitnarotov FC's Almir Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lanny Gilmore in the 20th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Lanny Gilmore ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Almir Miranda was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Almir Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tyron Velasquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Santos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lanny Gilmore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santos FC's Lanny Gilmore got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Mitnarotov FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Santos FC were winning 0-4.

Lanny Gilmore blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Almir Miranda having to make a save. In the 56th minute, Walmir Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Warren Ruiz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Almir Miranda having to make a save. Lanny Gilmore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Almir Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the game, Décio Pinto threw the ball into play from the sideline. Santos FC's Titus Kohler quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lanny Gilmore in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Almir Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lanny Gilmore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Mitnarotov FC's goalkeeper Almir Miranda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lanny Gilmore. Santos FC were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Mitnarotov FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Warren Ruiz took the corner. The corner led Santos FC's Warren Ruiz to fire away a dangerous shot which Almir Miranda despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lanny Gilmore in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Almir Miranda saved Mitnarotov FC from getting behind. 76 minutes into the match, Santos FC's Tyron Velasquez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Almir Miranda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tyron Velasquez got free with Almir Miranda in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute of the match Santos FC got a corner. Mitnarotov FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Warren Ruiz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mitnarotov FC's goalie and right to Tyron Velasquez. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mitnarotov FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mitnarotov FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Warren Ruiz was slow to take the kick. During this time Santos FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Warren Ruiz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mitnarotov FC's Almir Miranda did a great save. In the 93rdth minute of the game Lanny Gilmore who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mitnarotov FC's Almir Miranda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lanny Gilmore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almir Miranda having to interfere. When the match was over Santos FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mitnarotov FC throughout the match.
