Almir Severo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Majewski in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Våleman in the 13th minute of play forced Grêmio Santo André's goalkeeper Almir Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Jeferson Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Armstrong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lauro Vaz during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. ManagerZone Crew's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeferson Santana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dalmacio Vermudo was the one to do the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Peter Linkhorst who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio Santo André's Almir Severo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Våleman in the 52nd minute of play forced Grêmio Santo André's goalkeeper Almir Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrian Rosario hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Ernani Ribeiro notched a goal, 4-4, to the right of ManagerZone Crew's Patrick Armstrong. Patrick Armstrong was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 72nd minute, Peter Linkhorst left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ManagerZone Crew fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-4. 78 minutes into the game, Dalmacio Vermudo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Patrick Armstrong. Dalmacio Vermudo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-5. Dalmacio Vermudo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Patrick Armstrong made a huge save. Patrick Armstrong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robert Ununger kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Ernani Ribeiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Patrick Armstrong came out and tried to block the shot, but Ernani Ribeiro slotted it home off the left post making it 5-6 in the 92nd minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Grêmio Santo André walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
