After a rather tough play, AYAZAĞA FK's Atabek Makbul got a free kick in the 27th minute. Muzafer Cannavaro hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. La Società Sport Osasco's Chen Jian shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 29th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Adulfo Antunez but with some difficulty. In the 39th minute Atabek Makbul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubinho Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes in the game, Atabek Makbul dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

AYAZAĞA FK made a substitution. Seyfettin Onursoy replaced Berke Gümüşsoy. Seyfettin Onursoy came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. AYAZAĞA FK's Adulfo Antunez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zygmunt Haszczak in the 82nd minute of play. With a little luck, La Società Sport Osasco's Rubinho Lago got control of the ball when Seyfettin Onursoy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adulfo Antunez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chen Jian in the 87th minute of play. Gilvan Maranhense scored 3-3 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adulfo Antunez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Neither team could find the winning goal during normal time. The second half finished 3-3. Extra-time would have to be played.

After resting during the break, the players from both teams went out on the field looking very concentrated. It was now first half of the overtime. Gilvan Maranhense made the kick off and play began. After some careless play in the AYAZAĞA FK defense, Chen Jian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adulfo Antunez. The AYAZAĞA FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adulfo Antunez should have stopped the shot. La Società Sport Osasco's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
