Cyprian Zielinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Fabelo in the 5th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Osoitz Cascajares during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fae Folgore's Wincenty Szarmach was substituted for Aureliusz Bejger. Osoitz Cascajares hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Cyprian Zielinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Fabelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cyprian Zielinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Fabelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute Jerzy Augustyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cyprian Zielinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Marco Fabelo came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Fae Folgore fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Fabelo couldn't finish the play. If Davor Šuker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. R.B Leipzig's Cyprian Zielinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Fabelo in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Seyfettin Sadak dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Anderson Trigo, 1-0. When Americo Morodo fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored R.B Leipzig's protests and gave Americo Morodo a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, R.B Leipzig's Americo Morodo got a free kick in the 35th minute. Marco Fabelo scored 1-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cyprian Zielinski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 43rd match minute, R.B Leipzig was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osoitz Cascajares to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the game, Fae Folgore's Marco Fabelo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cyprian Zielinski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The R.B Leipzig players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fae Folgore were winning 1-2.

Cyprian Zielinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jakub Latocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Cyprian Zielinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerzy Augustyn in the 60th minute of play. Jakub Latocha kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, R.B Leipzig's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Augustyn came free, but Cyprian Zielinski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Fabelo in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cyprian Zielinski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cyprian Zielinski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marco Fabelo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 68 minute of play. Fae Folgore made a substitution. Barnaba Barniszke replaced Jerzy Augustyn. After 78 minutes of play R.B Leipzig's Osoitz Cascajares was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Marco Fabelo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cyprian Zielinski firmly grabbed it by the left post. 81 minutes into the match, R.B Leipzig's goal looked a bit too open when Jakub Latocha came free, but Cyprian Zielinski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Davor Šuker made in the 84th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Fae Folgore's Jordano Bruno. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Fabelo got free with Cyprian Zielinski in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barnaba Barniszke in the 95th minute of play forced R.B Leipzig's goalkeeper Cyprian Zielinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The R.B Leipzig fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Fae Folgore were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
