In the 15th minute of the match, Leonidas Arias tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bryant Reina saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bishop Fazey in the 17th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Ramon Peralta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Wiliam Peren came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wiliam Peren couldn't finish the play. Bishop Fazey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramon Peralta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Bryant Reina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Villalaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. If Bishop Fazey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Panama's Ramon Peralta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bishop Fazey in the 25th minute of play. Bryant Reina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Villalaz in the 26th minute of the match. When Australia's Bishop Fazey in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Panama's goalie prevented a goal. 45 minutes into the game, Bishop Fazey cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Ramon Peralta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wiliam Peren made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Villalaz in the 52nd minute of play forced Australia's goalkeeper Bryant Reina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Australia's Bryant Reina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wiliam Peren in the 58th minute of play. Ramon Peralta made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Bishop Fazey sent off a good shot on target. 65 minutes into the match, Panama's goalkeeper Ramon Peralta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bishop Fazey. Dallas Dalglish might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ramon Peralta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dallas Dalglish ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 73rd minute Pedro Villalaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryant Reina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Bishop Fazey kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ramon Peralta. That made the score 0-4 in the 75 minute of play. In the 77th minute, Cod Whatman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panama's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bishop Fazey 80 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Dallas Dalglish's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ramon Peralta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Panama's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bishop Fazey was slow to take the kick. During this time Australia's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Australia's corner Duke Carnduff fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ramon Peralta quite easily take care of the ball. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Panama's goalkeeper Ramon Peralta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ramon Peralta was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bishop Fazey showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 87 minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Australia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
