The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Isaac Dayam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute Candido Jakes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilberto Hernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Severiano Taurino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilberto Hernandez. Cura del Futbol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severiano Taurino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Severiano Taurino scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gilberto Hernandez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th minute, Severiano Taurino made a precise shot to the right of Gilberto Hernandez. Cura del Futbol's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After 21 played minutes Deportivo Balvanera got a freekick which was hit by Candido Jakes. A collision led to Cura del Futbol getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Segundo Esiquio hit a great ball. Gilberto Hernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristobal Hulberto in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Cura del Futbol booed when Deportivo Balvanera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marciano Koldobika didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Deportivo Balvanera's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Leoncio came free, but Cayetano Behe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilberto Hernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Hulberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. This resulted in a 0-7 score and a disappointed Gilberto Hernandez as he didn't even see the shot coming. Gilberto Hernandez made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Cristobal Hulberto sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Candido Jakes took a quick shot and it went in 0-9 without a chance for Gilberto Hernandez to make any attempt to save it. Deportivo Balvanera's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
