When Alex Sági came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the AVAÍ F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Sági couldn't finish the play. Virgílio Trigo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Jailson Teles made a huge save. Angelino Nueva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarcisio Chaves in the 16th minute of play. Angelino Nueva came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by AVAÍ F.C.'s Tarcisio Chaves. But to his dismay, Tarcisio Chaves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. AVAÍ F.C.'s Jailson Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Trigo in the 22nd minute of play. Reko-Recko 03™'s Angelino Nueva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Alegría in the 24th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in AVAÍ F.C.'s zone, Selman Ruzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jailson Teles came out of the goal and Selman Ruzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 27 minutes into the match, AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Jailson Teles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Virgílio Trigo. Angelino Nueva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Sági in the 28th minute of play. With his leg Jailson Teles managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Reko-Recko 03™'s Virgílio Trigo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 33 minutes into the game, Alex Sági cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Angelino Nueva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 36 minutes into the game, AVAÍ F.C.'s Walmyr Salles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelino Nueva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dario Alegría to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Reko-Recko 03™'s Mai got a free kick in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Fresnedo in the 58th minute of play forced AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Jailson Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tarcisio Chaves in the 60th minute of play forced Reko-Recko 03™'s goalkeeper Angelino Nueva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Reko-Recko 03™'s zone, Dario Alegría stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelino Nueva came out of the goal and Dario Alegría tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AVAÍ F.C. made a substitution. Rubens Cabral replaced Tarcisio Chaves. In the 71st minute, Hao Feng Yu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Reko-Recko 03™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. Reko-Recko 03™'s Angelino Nueva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Sági in the 73rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Dario Alegría put it in 3-5 from a short distance just to the right of Angelino Nueva. Reko-Recko 03™'s Cipriano França was substituted for Carlos Augusto Sá. Innocenzio Corales made in the 83rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alex Sági. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by AVAÍ F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hao Feng Yu was slow to take the kick. During this time Reko-Recko 03™'s players had a chance to rest. Jailson Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Reko-Recko 03™'s corner Virgílio Trigo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jailson Teles quite easily take care of the ball. When Reko-Recko 03™'s Virgílio Trigo in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AVAÍ F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. The Reko-Recko 03™ fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Reko-Recko 03™'s Virgílio Trigo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. AVAÍ F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
