In the 5th minute of the match Grêmio FBPA got a corner. C. A. Potrero's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alberto Estevon ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Filiph Biörling heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özgür Onur in the 13th minute of play. Jardel Sanches came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Potrero's Mustafa Barış Yorangil. But to his dismay, Mustafa Barış Yorangil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 19 minutes into the match, Pipis Karapatakis notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of C. A. Potrero's Lucio Ur. Lucio Ur was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jardel Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Barış Yorangil in the 23rd minute of the match. C. A. Potrero's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Semih Kaya in the 25th minute. The corner led C. A. Potrero's Semih Kaya to fire away a dangerous shot which Jardel Sanches despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, C. A. Potrero's goalkeeper Lucio Ur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pipis Karapatakis. C. A. Potrero's Lucio Ur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Potrero from getting a goal against them. Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mustafa Barış Yorangil in the 33rd minute of play. Lucio Ur didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 36th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. A sloppy throw-in by Alberto Estevon in the 47th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by C. A. Potrero's Leopoldo Ignado. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pipis Karapatakis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes C. A. Potrero got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Santos. In the 51st minute of the match Alberto Estevon sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lucio Ur skillfully saved the ball. In the 53rd minute, Pipis Karapatakis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucio Ur was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Lucio Ur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 72nd minute of play. Jardel Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lu Lin Zhou in the 82nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pipis Karapatakis in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucio Ur saved C. A. Potrero from getting behind. In the 85th match minute, C. A. Potrero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Berdoi to maneuver through the defense. C. A. Potrero's Wladyslaw Popowicz was substituted for Raimundo Santos. When Semih Kaya fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Potrero's protests and gave Semih Kaya a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th minute Pipis Karapatakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Ur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucio Ur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 94th minute of the match. Grêmio FBPA's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
