If Dario Alegría had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Dario Alegría's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilvan Sanches was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Jailson Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jessie Pinkman in the 8th minute of the match. After 9 played minutes Green Squad FC got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Silva. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Gilvan Sanches successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walmyr Salles got free with Gilvan Sanches in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmyr Salles in the 18th minute of play forced Green Squad FC's goalkeeper Gilvan Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jailson Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jessie Pinkman in the 19th minute of play. After 20 played minutes AVAÍ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Valdir Martins. In the 23rd minute, AVAÍ F.C.'s Dario Alegría dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Walmyr Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gilvan Sanches tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dario Alegría had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jailson Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeu Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. AVAÍ F.C.'s Jailson Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeu Cosme in the 37th minute of play. When Ulisses Antunes fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Green Squad FC's protests and gave Ulisses Antunes a yellow card for diving instead. Ulisses Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson Teles having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, Green Squad FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conrado Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Jessie Pinkman made the kick off in the second half. Valdir Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Gonçalo Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson Teles having to interfere. In the 55th minute Conrado Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jailson Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jailson Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Pernambucano in the 55th minute of the match. Jessie Pinkman scored 2-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jailson Teles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th minute, Conrado Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulisses Antunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Jailson Teles made a huge save. In the 68th minute, Jessie Pinkman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jailson Teles was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. AVAÍ F.C.'s Claus Van De Wiele was substituted for Dario Alegría. AVAÍ F.C.'s Jailson Teles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save AVAÍ F.C. from getting a goal against them. In the 75th match minute, AVAÍ F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Almir Matos to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the match, AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Jailson Teles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulisses Antunes. Gonçalo Maia made a great header on Green Squad FC's corner, it was just that AVAÍ F.C.'s Jailson Teles managed to reach the ball for a save. Jessie Pinkman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Walmyr Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. AVAÍ F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Walmyr Salles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilvan Sanches breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Juan Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jailson Teles was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Conrado Pernambucano. Juan Arantes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Wágner Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Despite being the better team, Green Squad FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
