In the 3rd minute, Martin Jax ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Óscar Cordoba was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When GERLIROJO Ψ's Martin Jax in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sporting de Gijón's goalie prevented a goal. 13 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Jax came free, but Óscar Cordoba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Maradona in the 17th minute of play forced GERLIROJO Ψ's goalkeeper Andres Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Kauan de Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Jax blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Óscar Cordoba having to make a save. Martin Jax took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Óscar Cordoba. Óscar Cordoba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 27th minute, Martin Jax made a precise shot to the right of Óscar Cordoba. Sporting de Gijón's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin Jax in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Óscar Cordoba saved Sporting de Gijón from getting behind. In the 32nd minute, Sporting de Gijón's Diego Maradona dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. After 34 played minutes Sporting de Gijón got a freekick which was hit by Eustacio Loiola. Sporting de Gijón's Óscar Cordoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Jax in the 42nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting de Gijón's zone, Martin Jax stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Óscar Cordoba came out of the goal and Martin Jax tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half GERLIROJO Ψ were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Óscar Cordoba made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Martin Jax sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Bilintx in the 54th minute of play forced GERLIROJO Ψ's goalkeeper Andres Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Jax struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Óscar Cordoba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GERLIROJO Ψ. The crowd rose to their feet as GERLIROJO Ψ's Martin Jax slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Óscar Cordoba. That made the score 1-4 after 62 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Jax in the 67th minute of play forced Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper Óscar Cordoba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GERLIROJO Ψ's Martin Jax got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. GERLIROJO Ψ made a substitution. Aquilino Ihintza replaced Genaro Tauro. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Epifanio Ibañez in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Óscar Cordoba saved Sporting de Gijón from getting behind. 79 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Epifanio Ibañez came free, but Óscar Cordoba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sporting de Gijón's Carolo Ovando was substituted for Alejandro Rufo. Saturnino Curcio hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Óscar Cordoba made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Epifanio Ibañez sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Sporting de Gijón getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Matias Bilintx hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the game, Epifanio Ibañez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Óscar Cordoba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Saturnino Curcio kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Óscar Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Epifanio Ibañez, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
