After having played for 4 minutes, Remus Nuțu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poli Iași's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remus Nuțu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mihai Bogdănescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tudor Logofătu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Wolves Academy defense, Remus Nuțu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernest Albu. The Wolves Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernest Albu should have stopped the shot. Poli Iași's Mihai Bogdănescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Poli Iași from getting a goal against them. Mihai Bogdănescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tudor Logofătu in the 22nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remus Nuțu in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernest Albu saved Wolves Academy from getting behind. Ernest Albu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remus Nuțu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Wolves Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Remus Nuțu came free, but Ernest Albu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wolves Academy's Tudor Logofătu got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 28 played minutes Poli Iași got a freekick which was hit by Nicu Timofte. Ernest Albu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olimpiu Luca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Wolves Academy booed when Poli Iași was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Elian didn't get a good kick on the ball. If George Zglobiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Logofătu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mihai Bogdănescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Poli Iași's Olimpiu Luca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernest Albu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Tudor Logofătu made the kick off in the second half. In a very dangerous position, a player in Poli Iași fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! After 54 minutes of play, Wolves Academy's Alin Fărcășan made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mihai Bogdănescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Olimpiu Luca came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Poli Iași fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olimpiu Luca couldn't finish the play. Olimpiu Luca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Peter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Albu having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Poli Iași's goal looked a bit too open when George Zglobiu came free, but Mihai Bogdănescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Wolves Academy's zone, Daniel Peter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernest Albu came out of the goal and Daniel Peter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Wolves Academy's Toader Lazăr got a free kick in the 77th minute. Daniel Peter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ernest Albu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Daniel Peter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Poli Iași booed when Wolves Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilian Stoiculescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Wolves Academy getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Emilian Stoiculescu hit a great ball. Daniel Peter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernest Albu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Poli Iași left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Wolves Academy.
