With a little luck, TiGrEs Fx's Franc Merlot got control of the ball when Dennis Bergkamp tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the U21 Peru defense, Alex Elenescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Darien Iribe. The U21 Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Darien Iribe should have stopped the shot. Alex Elenescu struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Darien Iribe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TiGrEs Fx. Gentza Arribas hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The TiGrEs Fx fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Elenescu got free with Darien Iribe in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
