Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Melchor Rosio made the kick off and thus started the match. Las Momias F. C.'s Esteve Bernat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Las Momias F. C. from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Las Momias F. C.'s Esteve Bernat got control of the ball when Angel Di Maria tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Santos Bartuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Melchor Rosio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Esteve Bernat made a huge save. Esteve Bernat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Rosio in the 15th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauricio Gaitano in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sergio Romero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Las Momias F. C.'s zone, Elpidio Bixintxo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Bernat came out of the goal and Elpidio Bixintxo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the game, Kauan de Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sporting de Gijón's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Las Momias F. C. the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Bixintxo in the 28th minute of play forced Las Momias F. C.'s goalkeeper Esteve Bernat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 31 in the game by Melchor Rosio from a close distance when the talented Esteve Bernat managed to make a qualified save. Las Momias F. C.'s players were relieved. Sergio Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiburcio Salvatore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esteve Bernat came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting de Gijón's Melchor Rosio. But to his dismay, Melchor Rosio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After a rather tough play, Sporting de Gijón's Elpidio Bixintxo got a free kick in the 43rd minute. With his leg Esteve Bernat managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Sporting de Gijón's Melchor Rosio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tiburcio Salvatore made a kick off. Sporting de Gijón's Sergio Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Salvatore in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Las Momias F. C.'s Tiburcio Salvatore dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Osvaldo Bilbo made in the 63rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sporting de Gijón's Válter Nogueira. Esteve Bernat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Bixintxo in the 64th minute of play. Sergio Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Salvatore in the 65th minute of play. Sergio Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Salvatore in the 67th minute of play. Mauricio Gaitano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elpidio Bixintxo struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Esteve Bernat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting de Gijón. Marcos-Alberto Rojo hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Tiburcio Salvatore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Las Momias F. C.'s Remigio Ishmael got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Osvaldo Bilbo made in the 84th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Santos Bartuelo however managed to control. Pascual Tipi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Esteve Bernat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Elpidio Bixintxo came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Sporting de Gijón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elpidio Bixintxo couldn't finish the play. If Celestino Illart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Sporting de Gijón's Sergio Romero got control of the ball when Tiburcio Salvatore tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tiburcio Salvatore took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergio Romero. Sergio Romero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When the final whistle sounded Las Momias F. C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sporting de Gijón.
