Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) U21 Angola's Hernani Moco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, U21 Angola's Luís Quilempan got a free kick in the 3rd minute. U21 Slovenia's Josip Ilič quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ivó Amado, made in the 5th minute of the game. The referee felt a red card was in order, 10 minutes into the game, when Ferdinand Repar put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of U21 Slovenia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of U21 Angola:s goal. Irfan Ljubec had in the 11thth minute some difficulties stopping Edmundo Dos Santos's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Gustaf Broman might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Custódio Teive. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. U21 Slovenia's Irfan Ljubec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Apalanga in the 23rd minute of play. If Hernani Moco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaf Broman got free with Custódio Teive in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edmundo Dos Santos scored 0-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Irfan Ljubec, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th minute, Jožek Puš hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half U21 Angola were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
U21 Slovenia's Morgan Mišković was substituted for Mevlin Kermelj. Custódio Teive took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josip Ilič, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute, Josip Ilič had to leave the field with a concussion. U21 Slovenia made a substitution. Zlatko Goričan replaced Josip Ilič. In the 57th match minute, U21 Angola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Odemira to maneuver through the defense. U21 Angola's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fábio Montoia in the 61st minute. The supporters of U21 Slovenia booed when U21 Angola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivó Amado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julien Anderle hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, U21 Slovenia's goalkeeper Irfan Ljubec had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Quilempan. In the 71st minute, Jožek Puš hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julien Anderle was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Slovenia's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of U21 Angola's goalie and right to Zlatko Goričan. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. U21 Angola's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 92ndth minute of the game Andi Jovanović who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Angola's Custódio Teive was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edmundo Dos Santos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Irfan Ljubec came out and tried to block the shot, but Edmundo Dos Santos slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 94th minute. U21 Angola's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
