An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Horea Niculcea got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiberiu Horhoianu in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damian Buhuș saved ARCADA FC from getting behind. If Tiberiu Horhoianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Foltea charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Foltea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Oltul Slatina booed when ARCADA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Foltea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 13 minutes, Tiberiu Moga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ARCADA FC and the FC Oltul Slatina players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Bogdan Şteflea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horea Niculcea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Traian Ispas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Foltea in the 20th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute FC Oltul Slatina were awarded a corner. Costică Ieremia went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, ARCADA FC's David Foltea got a free kick in the 26th minute. Horea Niculcea came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Damian Buhuș could save by the left post. After 32 minutes of play, FC Oltul Slatina's Horea Niculcea made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Damian Buhuș was left in no man's land by his defense there! Horea Niculcea's late challenge caught a ARCADA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horea Niculcea helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ARCADA FC booed when FC Oltul Slatina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horea Niculcea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd match minute, ARCADA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Foltea to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horea Niculcea to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, FC Oltul Slatina's Tiberiu Horhoianu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damian Buhuș narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 57th minute Horea Niculcea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Buhuș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, ARCADA FC's David Foltea ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Traian Ispas. Traian Ispas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Traian Ispas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Foltea went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 77th match minute, FC Oltul Slatina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Petran to maneuver through the defense. When Valentin Isăceanu came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the FC Oltul Slatina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Isăceanu couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the match, Valentin Isăceanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damian Buhuș. ARCADA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valentin Isăceanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Valentin Isăceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Damian Buhuș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
