Roman Koenig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolae Ceaușescu having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobiasz Rostow in the 71st minute of play forced A.A. Francana's goalkeeper Renan Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
