U21 Panama's Sergio Peralta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hüseyin Rahmi Emektar in the 6th minute of play. Ivan Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uchenna Panter having to interfere. Mehmet Halis Ergün blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sergio Peralta having to make a save. 13 minutes into the game, U21 Turkey's Abidin Işınbay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sergio Peralta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Abidin Işınbay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mehmet Halis Ergün got free with Sergio Peralta in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. U21 Panama's Sergio Peralta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Panama from getting a goal against them. U21 Turkey's Mehmet Akif Ceceli quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Guillermo Calderón, made in the 23rd minute of the game. If Mehmet Halis Ergün had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sergio Peralta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mehmet Halis Ergün in the 24th minute. Mehmet Halis Ergün took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sergio Peralta. Sergio Peralta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 35th minute, Martín Osorio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Uchenna Panter was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Sergio Peralta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Halis Ergün in the 42nd minute of play. When Jonathan Quiros came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the U21 Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Quiros couldn't finish the play. Mehmet Halis Ergün struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Sergio Peralta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Turkey. Jonathan Quiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Uchenna Panter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Mehmet Halis Ergün made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Jonathan Quiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alim Eslem made a great header on U21 Turkey's corner, it was just that U21 Panama's Sergio Peralta managed to reach the ball for a save. Sergio Peralta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehmet Halis Ergün, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. U21 Turkey's Mehmet Halis Ergün got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martín Osorio in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uchenna Panter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sergio Peralta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehmet Halis Ergün, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the game, Mehmet Halis Ergün cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Sergio Peralta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. U21 Turkey's İsmail Yuksek was substituted for Hüseyin Rahmi Emektar. U21 Panama's Tomás Herrera was substituted for Martín Osorio. U21 Panama made a substitution. Rambo Durán replaced Emiliano Gutierrez. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Su Čuk put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sergio Peralta. A collision led to U21 Turkey getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Uluç Erben hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Carlos Escalona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Panama's zone, Su Čuk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Peralta came out of the goal and Su Čuk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the U21 Turkey players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
