The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Luan Toro's Ambrosio Jakobe got a free kick in the 2nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Muhammad Ali got free with Guido Luar in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th match minute, Los Gallos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eulalio Bilintx to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute Muhammad Ali shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Luar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albano Sanduru hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Los Gallos's Guido Luar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Muhammad Ali in the 24th minute of play. Tomas Vidal got a throw-in 29 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Eulalio Francesco. A collision led to Sportivo Luan Toro getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Oscar Mino hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Muhammad Ali managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sportivo Luan Toro's supporters rose to their feet, but Muhammad Ali was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guido Luar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Melchor Bilintx made the kick off in the second half. When Albano Sanduru came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Los Gallos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albano Sanduru couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute, Oscar Mino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oscar Mino hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Eulalio Bilintx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tomas Vidal made in the 67th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Eulalio Francesco. 68 minutes into the match, Sportivo Luan Toro's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Bilintx came free, but Gabriel Arias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Sportivo Luan Toro getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Lino Gerazan hit a great ball. Los Gallos were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Sportivo Luan Toro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Vidal took the corner. In the 79th match minute, Sportivo Luan Toro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Muhammad Ali to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute, Muhammad Ali ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guido Luar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The supporters of Los Gallos booed when Sportivo Luan Toro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Muhammad Ali didn't get a good kick on the ball.
