Laureano Ermano started the match with the kick off. Jean Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th match minute, C. A. Potrero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidoro Birjaio to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute Laureano Ermano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 14 minutes into the game, when Santos Rafe put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of C. A. Potrero:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Minotauro:s goal. In the 15th minute there was a penalty for Minotauro. Abelardo Munhoz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Pablo Acevedo. 0-1. After having played for 18 minutes, Abelardo Munhoz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Minotauro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Munhoz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Marco Gaspar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, C. A. Potrero's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Munhoz came free, but Pablo Acevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute Abelardo Munhoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Acevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Laureano Ermano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Giovanni de Toledo. That made the score 1-1 in the 30 minute of play. Augusto Gizon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Minotauro's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Ermano came free, but Giovanni de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th match minute, C. A. Potrero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albino Cruz to maneuver through the defense. After 42 played minutes Minotauro got a freekick which was hit by Jean Eger. In the 47th minute, Laureano Ermano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marco Gaspar to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Zé Paulo Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C. A. Potrero's Augusto Gizon got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pablo Acevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo Munhoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After a rather tough play, Minotauro's João Guimarães got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 78th match minute, C. A. Potrero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raimundo Sal to maneuver through the defense. Pablo Acevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pablo Acevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Munhoz in the 84th minute of play. Giovanni de Toledo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto Gizon went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 95th minute, Gaudencio Rico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Minotauro's Marco Gaspar shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 96th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Pablo Acevedo but with some difficulty. 97 minutes into the match, Minotauro's Marco Gaspar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pablo Acevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
