After having played for 17 minutes, Ortzi Goxenola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unikurdos United F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ortzi Goxenola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Mauricio Bidari in the 21st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Unikurdos United F.C.'s Tartalo Bazquez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Fribäck in the 26th minute of play forced CBA Nankatsu FC's goalkeeper Cleto Quirze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unikurdos United F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ortzi Goxenola in the 29th minute. Unikurdos United F.C.'s Daniel Fribäck got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Unikurdos United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Eneko came free, but Sesuldo Teijelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 45 minutes, Eulalio Lizardi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mieszko Siekierka didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Unikurdos United F.C.'s Sesuldo Teijelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Eneko in the 53rd minute of play. After some careless play in the CBA Nankatsu FC defense, Daniel Fribäck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cleto Quirze. The CBA Nankatsu FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cleto Quirze should have stopped the shot. In the 58th match minute, Unikurdos United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mieszko Siekierka to maneuver through the defense. Unikurdos United F.C.'s Rojelio Carrera was substituted for Daniel Fribäck. Unikurdos United F.C.'s Andoni Viso was substituted for Ortzi Goxenola. Mieszko Siekierka hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Armando Arano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Sesuldo Teijelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
