Dewa Cinta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Best Pukallus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jérémy Špokas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Sydney Ross made a huge save. Sydney Ross made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toto Tualasamony in the 14th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Toto Tualasamony cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Sydney Ross was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dewa Cinta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Best Pukallus went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Barnett Hickman made in the 21st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by U21 Indonesia's Ujo Haryanto Ie. Dewa Cinta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bill Fitzpatrick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute of the match U21 Australia got a corner. U21 Indonesia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paul Pegler ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dewa Cinta came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Australia's Bill Fitzpatrick. But to his dismay, Bill Fitzpatrick quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. U21 Indonesia's attack was well implemented in the 38th minute, but when Toto Tualasamony was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Best Pukallus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dewa Cinta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute of the match U21 Australia got a corner. U21 Indonesia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paul Pegler ran over to the corner to take the kick. U21 Australia's Paul Pegler was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dewa Cinta in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, U21 Australia's Sydney Ross got control of the ball when Anak Junior tried to sneak it across the goal line. U21 Indonesia's Dewa Cinta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bill Fitzpatrick in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

U21 Australia made a substitution. Jonty Mewburn replaced Nathaniel Warren. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bill Fitzpatrick stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes U21 Indonesia got a freekick which was hit by Toto Tualasamony. The supporters of U21 Australia booed when U21 Indonesia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jérémy Špokas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Bill Fitzpatrick's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dewa Cinta was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. The U21 Australia fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when U21 Australia's Bill Fitzpatrick looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sydney Ross showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anak Junior in the 60th minute of the match. In the 67th minute of the game Barnett Hickman made a throw-in which Loyd Eversden played forward. Best Pukallus was shown his second yellow card after 71 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Sydney Ross made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odod Wijatmiko in the 86th minute of play. The supporters of U21 Australia booed when U21 Indonesia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ujo Haryanto Ie didn't get a good kick on the ball. U21 Australia's Paul Pegler couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 88th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for U21 Indonesia. U21 Indonesia's Dewa Cinta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Head Son in the 91st minute of play. After 91 minutes of play, U21 Australia's Lucas Head Son made it 2-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dewa Cinta was left in no man's land by his defense there! U21 Australia's Lucas Head Son got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The U21 Indonesia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching U21 Australia's performance. The match ended with a win for U21 Australia.
