Armand Quison made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Petr Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jemson Saliba in the 8th minute of play. Armand Quison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Þrándsson in the 15th minute of the match. Armand Quison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Þrándsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute, Jemson Saliba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Philippines fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Kristinn Ingimundarson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Armand Quison came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Iceland's Kristinn Ingimundarson. But to his dismay, Kristinn Ingimundarson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 32nd minute of the match, Allan Þrándsson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Armand Quison was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Allan Þrándsson took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Armand Quison to make any attempt to save it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

In the 52nd minute, Visayas Pecson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Petr Čech. The goal made the score 3-2. In the 56th match minute, Philippines was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leslie Macaraat to maneuver through the defense. Patrick Golez kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Armand Quison stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kristinn Ingimundarson's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Philippines's Arnel Pansoy was substituted for Mats Caballero. Armand Quison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristinn Ingimundarson in the 74th minute of the match. With a little luck, Iceland's Petr Čech got control of the ball when Visayas Pecson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Calvin Nogoys short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Petr Čech to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Petr Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jemson Saliba, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Kristinn Ingimundarson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Philippines's Armand Quison played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristinn Ingimundarson in the 89th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Philippines's Ref Bunsoy got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Philippines made a substitution. Aðalsteinn Esbjærg replaced Patrick Golez. After 95 played minutes Philippines got a freekick which was hit by Ref Bunsoy. Iceland's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
