Eugenio Lorenzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amerigo Buffone in the 22nd minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

But to his dismay, Claudio Caniggia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. In the 85th minute Juventus F.C. were awarded a corner. Dennis Lenzi went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Juventus F.C.'s Dennis Lenzi to fire away a dangerous shot which Fausto De Bonis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. LATIUM's Fausto De Bonis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Caniggia in the 88th minute of play. Eugenio Lorenzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Giovannelli in the 90th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the LATIUM players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Juventus F.C..
