Frank Galli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Sanna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Alvaro Sanna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anfilogino Pace, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute Frank Galli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Sanna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Wit Lampa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mutlu Baykam. The goal made the score 1-2. Wit Lampa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. When Fortunato Gatti fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trento Calcio 1921's protests and gave Fortunato Gatti a yellow card for diving instead.
