The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rovine Craiova's Cezar Ghinescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silviu Bălțăteanu in the 3rd minute of play. The referee ignored BULDOZERUL SANTA FE's protests and gave Daniel Magherescu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Daniel Magherescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in BULDOZERUL SANTA FE's zone, Dacian Patrichi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Gherghe came out of the goal and Dacian Patrichi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, BULDOZERUL SANTA FE's Teodor Bobei got a free kick in the 8th minute. After 10 played minutes BULDOZERUL SANTA FE got a freekick which was hit by Virgil Tănăsocă. Dacian Patrichis short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Eric Gherghe to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Matei Comișel in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eric Gherghe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to BULDOZERUL SANTA FE getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Daniel Magherescu hit a great ball. Dacian Patrichi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Eric Gherghe skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dacian Patrichi to make the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Matei Comișel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BULDOZERUL SANTA FE's Eric Gherghe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dorel Tudor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Cezar Ghinescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric Gherghe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dacian Patrichi's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Dragoş Alexandroae helped the player get up and apologised. Dragoş Alexandroae kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Matei Comișel struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Eric Gherghe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rovine Craiova.
