Nikos Nikitaras took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anastasios Perakis. Anastasios Perakis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexis Kotsanakis in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dimosthenis Karagiannidis saved Mean Machine from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Olympiacos FC's Alexis Kotsanakis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dimosthenis Karagiannidis. That made the score 1-1 after 10 minutes of play. Thodoris Antoniadis struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Dimosthenis Karagiannidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympiacos FC. Anastasios Perakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charis Mantalakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Dimosthenis Karagiannidis was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Xosé Lim capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Xosé Lim really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. 24 minutes into the match, Christian Mattei had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anastasios Perakis. Olympiacos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Mattei was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Olympiacos FC's Anastasios Perakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoros Tsioris in the 28th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Olympiacos FC's Fotis Nousias got a free kick in the 29th minute. Soulis Partalis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Dimosthenis Karagiannidis made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xosé Lim got free with Dimosthenis Karagiannidis in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ermis Xintarianos kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Dimitris Koudas, 43 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Dimitris Koudas's late challenge caught a Mean Machine's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dimitris Koudas helped the player get up and apologised. Dimitris Koudas kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charis Mantalakis made a kick off. Anastasios Perakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charis Mantalakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 53 minutes into the match, Olympiacos FC's goalkeeper Anastasios Perakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Charis Mantalakis. With a little luck, Olympiacos FC's Anastasios Perakis got control of the ball when Christian Mattei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anastasios Perakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charis Mantalakis in the 56th minute of play. In the last second Anastasios Perakis throw himself and got hold of the ball when Charis Mantalakis in the 57thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 57 played minutes Olympiacos FC got a freekick which was hit by Konstantinos Meletiou. Olympiacos FC made a substitution. Panos Ntountas replaced Dimitris Koudas. In the 59th minute, Konstantinos Meletiou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, Olympiacos FC's goalkeeper Anastasios Perakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nikos Nikitaras. After 62nd play minutes Soulis Partalis shot 3-2, a short shot which went by Dimosthenis Karagiannidis and just under the crossbar into goal. When Fotis Nousias fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olympiacos FC's protests and gave Fotis Nousias a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th match minute, Olympiacos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fotis Nousias to maneuver through the defense. Anastasios Perakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charis Mantalakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Mean Machine's Stamatis Katis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Konstantinos Meletiou in the 72 minute of the game. Anastasios Perakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoros Tsioris in the 73rd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the game, Soulis Partalis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Dimosthenis Karagiannidis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Soulis Partalis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dimosthenis Karagiannidis having to make a save. In the 79th minute Soulis Partalis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimosthenis Karagiannidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, Soulis Partalis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Dimosthenis Karagiannidis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 88 minutes, Thodoris Antoniadis made it 6-2 with a short kick to the right side. Mean Machine's Dimosthenis Karagiannidis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dimosthenis Karagiannidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thodoris Antoniadis in the 95th minute of the match. Mean Machine's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
