Miguel Ángel Santoro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Ellis in the 7th minute of the match. Sebastián Rambert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shawn Ashby having to interfere. Shawn Ashby made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Conrad Carrington sent off a good shot on target. Shawn Ashby came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by C. A. Independiente's Sebastián Rambert. But to his dismay, Sebastián Rambert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 22nd minute, Sebastián Rambert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shawn Ashby was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Sandy Spaulding took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Shawn Ashby to make any attempt to save it. When Sebastián Rambert came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the C. A. Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastián Rambert couldn't finish the play. Conrad Carrington's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Shawn Ashby skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Shawn Ashby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastián Rambert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. American Top Team's Shawn Ashby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastián Rambert in the 35th minute of play. When C. A. Independiente's Sebastián Rambert in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Grant Kimbrough kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. American Top Team's Shawn Ashby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastián Rambert in the 59th minute of play. Sebastián Rambert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Shawn Ashby having to make a save. Shawn Ashby showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrad Carrington in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Conrad Carrington hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sebastián Rambert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Shawn Ashby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shawn Ashby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastián Rambert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Sebastián Rambert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sebastián Rambert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Conrad Carrington took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Shawn Ashby. Shawn Ashby dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. 85 minutes into the match, Sebastián Rambert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Shawn Ashby. American Top Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastián Rambert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. When Conrad Carrington came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the C. A. Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrad Carrington couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute, Winford Craig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
