Rusty Little was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Jonah Ryan sped through Santos FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rusty Little. Rusty Little stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonah Ryan's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. When Darryl Pollard fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos FC's protests and gave Darryl Pollard a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Santos FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Darryl Pollard hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexis Couch in the 14th minute of play forced Santos FC's goalkeeper Rusty Little to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rusty Little showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chandler Bing, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Rusty Little showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonah Ryan in the 22nd minute of the match. A collision led to Santos FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Gavin Hawley hit a great ball. Alexis Couch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rusty Little having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Chandler Bing left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The American Airlines fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Rusty Little showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonah Ryan, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Jonah Ryan took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rusty Little. Rusty Little dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. The supporters of Santos FC booed when American Airlines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lyuben Karavelov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-7 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victor Hess was the one to do the kick off. Rusty Little made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexis Couch in the 54th minute of play. Santos FC's Rusty Little played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonah Ryan in the 56th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Santos FC's zone, Chandler Bing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rusty Little came out of the goal and Chandler Bing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rd minute, Trinidad Khan fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 63 played minutes Santos FC got a freekick which was hit by Victor Hess. Rusty Little didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonah Ryan went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. Rusty Little was a little too slow when Trinidad Khan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 0-9. American Airlines made a substitution. Werner Hemphill replaced Trinidad Khan. American Airlines made a substitution. Jose Parker replaced Andrew Ziegler. Chandler Bing's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rusty Little read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Werner Hemphill kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Rusty Little showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexis Couch, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
