Todd Swenson was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Federico Maia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Federico Maia really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. After 43 minutes of play, Cosmos Soccer Club's Patrick Fontenot made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Todd Swenson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 46 minutes in the game, Federico Maia fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Todd Swenson having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

After 53 minutes, Dudley Hadley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Creekers and the Cosmos Soccer Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cosmos Soccer Club booed when Creekers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudley Hadley didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st match minute, Cosmos Soccer Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grant McKay to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Patrick Fontenot left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cosmos Soccer Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0.
