Adão Avelar helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of AM United booed when G.D Vitória de Sernache was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adão Avelar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Hilário Aveiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 12th minute, Fabrício Graça left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The G.D Vitória de Sernache fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Severino Vaz hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. G.D Vitória de Sernache's Fabrício Graça got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Heitor Vigário had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Óscar Costa. Óscar Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Vaz in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Juliano Freire fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Hilário Aveiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Mourinho in the 37th minute of play. Xavier Modesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilário Aveiro having to interfere. After having played for 40 minutes, Lisandro Mourinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AM United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lisandro Mourinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd play minute Xavier Modesto came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hilário Aveiro. 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Severino Vaz to strike the kick off in the second half. Xavier Modesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilário Aveiro having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lisandro Mourinho in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hilário Aveiro saved G.D Vitória de Sernache from getting behind. Lisandro Mourinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilário Aveiro having to interfere. Hilário Aveiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavier Modesto in the 62nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Xavier Modesto managed to get in a good position for a shot. AM United's supporters rose to their feet, but Xavier Modesto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hilário Aveiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, G.D Vitória de Sernache's Óscar Costa threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Heitor Vigário, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. AM United's Xavier Modesto got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th minute, Xavier Modesto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hilário Aveiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Hilário Aveiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Modesto, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Lisandro Mourinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilário Aveiro having to interfere. Heitor Vigário's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Óscar Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. A collision led to AM United getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Germano Rocha hit a great ball. When the final whistle went the supporters of G.D Vitória de Sernache were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant AM United side.
