Spectators: 2599 (Terracing: 1950, Seating: 598, VIP seats: 51) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Franco Verdon started the match with the kick off. Franco Verdon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Aurelius Bolduc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Stefan Beller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Walter Fransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Beller, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stefan Beller in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walter Fransson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Walter Fransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Beller in the 9th minute of play. Fire Devils's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Francisco Bleyer in the 16th minute. After taking down the ball on Fire Devils's corner Francisco Bleyer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aurelius Bolduc quite easily take care of the ball. Gerry Belisle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walter Fransson having to make a save. Stefan Beller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Zelg FC's Stefan Beller in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fire Devils's goalie prevented a goal. Stefan Beller blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walter Fransson having to make a save. After having played for 29 minutes, Francis Aberle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fire Devils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francis Aberle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd match minute, Fire Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pius Gruenenfelder to maneuver through the defense. Zelg FC's Oscar Erasmo got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Oscar Erasmo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denis Lambrozzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerry Belisle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Fransson having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerry Belisle to strike the kick off in the second half. Stefan Beller's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walter Fransson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. In the 55th minute, Gerry Belisle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. William Gamache hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, Zelg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Verdon came free, but Aurelius Bolduc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oscar Erasmo's late challenge caught a Fire Devils's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oscar Erasmo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Fire Devils booed when Zelg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Erasmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Bleyer struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Aurelius Bolduc didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fire Devils. Stefan Beller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Walter Fransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Beller in the 72nd minute of play forced Fire Devils's goalkeeper Walter Fransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerry Belisle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walter Fransson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Stefan Beller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Franco Verdon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, Zelg FC's Stefan Beller sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Walter Fransson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the last second Walter Fransson throw himself and got hold of the ball when Stefan Beller in the 82ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When Pius Gruenenfelder fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fire Devils's protests and gave Pius Gruenenfelder a yellow card for diving instead. The Fire Devils manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Zelg FC to win.
