Jonathan Joestar came out of the goal and Anselmo Abastas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute Alejo Ferdinand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Joestar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Alejo Ereinotz, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 9 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jonathan Joestar was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 14th match minute, Deportivo Kadorna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herminio Cresencio to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Fernández kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Blas Estevez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anibal Erlantz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. If Blas Estevez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Formentera's Hermengildo Jorrin got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Anibal Erlantz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Blas Estevez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 37 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The supporters of Formentera booed when Deportivo Kadorna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Epifanio Izel didn't get a good kick on the ball.
