Tobias Elizardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Dominguez, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After a rather tough play, Sarmiento de Resistencia's Romeo Berdaitz got a free kick in the 44th minute. After 45 minutes, Froilan Sarmiento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sarmiento de Resistencia and the Vinará FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, Rodolfo Guerau left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sarmiento de Resistencia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0.
