MOEBIO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Liquisue FC the free kick. Pablo Faro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Arnau in the 27th minute of play forced MOEBIO's goalkeeper Ciro Teyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clodoveo Illart's late challenge caught a Los Liquisue FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clodoveo Illart helped the player get up and apologised. If Ricardo Austin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute Humberto Hulberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pablo Sazon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
