Julian Makowski hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Kryspin Treppa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugon Major in the 20th minute of play. Radoslaw Charlap took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zygmunt Klejnowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karol Mietus in the 25th minute of play forced Real Madrid's goalkeeper Radoslaw Charlap to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zygmunt Tokarczyk's late challenge caught a Gwarek Zabrze's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 86th minute Robert Walaszkiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kryspin Treppa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
