When Vitoria Cerrajero fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cusco FC's protests and gave Vitoria Cerrajero a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cusco FC's Vitoria Cerrajero got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 29th minute Edgar Bermudez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inge Tuero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 minutes of play, CS La Libertad's Edgar Bermudez made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Inge Tuero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Inge Tuero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Porras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half CS La Libertad were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ticho Paya to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Cusco FC's goalkeeper Inge Tuero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Bermudez. In the 54th match minute, Cusco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodas Alfaro to maneuver through the defense. Inge Tuero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Carballo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vitoria Cerrajero kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes CS La Libertad got a freekick which was hit by Rey Salido. The crowd rose to their feet as Felipe Porras kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Inge Tuero. That made the score 0-3 in the 64 minute of play. Cusco FC's Inge Tuero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Carballo in the 68th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Jason Carrillo could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Inge Tuero however easily saved by the left post. Inge Tuero was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Manrique Cisneros showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 87 minute of play. Manrique Cisneros received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Inge Tuero came out and tried to block the shot, but Manrique Cisneros slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 90th minute. The Cusco FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. CS La Libertad were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
