RIO DE JANEIRO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Dante to maneuver through the defense. Miguel Trigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Dinamo Colorado's Leandro Damião was substituted for Gugu Guimarães. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sidnei Azevedo got free with Luís Fábio Bittencourt in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. RIO DE JANEIRO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelsinho Hoffmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sidnei Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Maurinho Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Maurinho Vargas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luís Fábio Bittencourt. That made the score 0-9 in the 87 minute of play. Cipriano Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Luís Fábio Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Dinamo Colorado left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than E.C. RIO DE JANEIRO.
