In the 6thth minute of the game Osvaldinho Paes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bergamim F.C.'s Christiano Dracena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Batalhão do Peçanha's goalkeeper Vitinho Ribeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doriva Bezerra. If Doriva Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Breno Leão's late challenge caught a Batalhão do Peçanha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Breno Leão helped the player get up and apologised. Breno Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Marcel de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitinho Ribeiro having to interfere. When Marcel de Godoi came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Bergamim F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcel de Godoi couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaltino Mesquita in the 22nd minute of play forced Bergamim F.C.'s goalkeeper Christiano Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bergamim F.C.'s Christiano Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isaltino Mesquita in the 22nd minute of play. After 23 played minutes Batalhão do Peçanha got a freekick which was hit by Vito Fernandez. Vitinho Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Batalhão do Peçanha booed when Bergamim F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breno Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaltino Mesquita might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christiano Dracena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isaltino Mesquita ran back to his position shaking his head. Batalhão do Peçanha's Vitinho Ribeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Batalhão do Peçanha from getting a goal against them. When Bergamim F.C.'s Marcel de Godoi, in the 34th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Bergamim F.C.. Christiano Dracena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldinho Paes in the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vindoo De Hond in the 41st minute of play forced Bergamim F.C.'s goalkeeper Christiano Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The audience was convinced that Marcel de Godoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vitinho Ribeiro was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. 56 minutes into the game, Bergamim F.C.'s Marcel de Godoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 75th minute, Bergamim F.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vindoo De Hond fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Vitinho Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doriva Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute Marcel de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vitinho Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doriva Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitinho Ribeiro having to interfere. If Doriva Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vitinho Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doriva Bezerra in the 91st minute of the match. After 94 played minutes Batalhão do Peçanha got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho Catarinense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bergamim F.C. fully deserved thier win.
