Emílio Donatello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wágner Ribeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Defensores de Savóia's goalkeeper Sidnei Vidal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jón Dinamite. 13 minutes into the match, Misericordia EC's Jano Tróia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sidnei Vidal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Misericordia EC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bob Dinamite in the 17th minute. The corner ended in Bob Dinamite almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Defensores de Savóia's Sidnei Vidal did a great save. Defensores de Savóia's Sidnei Vidal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Defensores de Savóia from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Savóia's Hugo Neiva got a free kick in the 26th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Misericordia EC's Bob Dinamite slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sidnei Vidal. That made the score 1-0 after 33 minutes of play. In the 35th match minute, Defensores de Savóia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falcão de Souza to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Defensores de Savóia booed when Misericordia EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jón Dinamite didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jón Dinamites short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Sidnei Vidal to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Savóia's Patrick Sanches got a free kick in the 40th minute. Bob Dinamite, 41 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 43rd minute Jón Dinamite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidnei Vidal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bob Dinamite struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Sidnei Vidal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Misericordia EC. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Sidnei Vidal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Dinamite in the 52nd minute of the match. Sidnei Vidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jón Dinamite in the 53rd minute of play. Defensores de Savóia's Sidnei Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jón Dinamite in the 56th minute of play. Sidnei Vidal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bob Dinamite's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Jón Dinamite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Sidnei Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bob Dinamite scored 2-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sidnei Vidal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sidnei Vidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob Dinamite in the 63rd minute of play. Sidnei Vidal didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Misericordia EC's Bob Dinamite shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Defensores de Savóia's Sidnei Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jânio Valle in the 72nd minute of play. Sidnei Vidal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sidnei Vidal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jón Dinamite went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Misericordia EC fully deserved thier win.
