Renan Britto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cesinha Paraense hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Renan Britto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristiano Severo went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Compostela FSCMZ booed when AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Washington Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renan Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Severo in the 18th minute of play. Romário Borges took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Renan Britto. Renan Britto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 29 minutes into the match, AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Cesinha Paraense came free, but Renan Britto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ defense, Romário Borges kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Renan Britto. The AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Renan Britto should have stopped the shot. After 35 minutes of play, Compostela FSCMZ's Romário Borges made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renan Britto was left in no man's land by his defense there! 41 minutes into the match, AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Romário Borges came free, but Renan Britto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Dinei Gonçalves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Compostela FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. With 45 minutes on the clock, Jairo Guedes commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Jairo Guedes hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute Cristiano Severo suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 47 minutes into the game, Yuri de Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Compostela FSCMZ the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardo Gonçalves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Compostela FSCMZ's Bernardo Gonçalves ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Renan Britto. Renan Britto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Renan Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Gonçalves in the 60th minute of play. Compostela FSCMZ's Ulisses Senna was substituted for Alfredo Mandrak. After 68 played minutes AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Yuri de Castro. In the 69th minute, Ulisses Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romário Borges got free with Renan Britto in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Compostela FSCMZ's Bernardo Gonçalves pulled a muscle in his back after 75 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Yuri de Castro was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Yuri de Castro hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Renan Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aílton Baptista in the 84th minute of play. Romário Borges could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Renan Britto made a huge save. Aílton Baptista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Renan Britto having to make a save. Romário Borgess short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Renan Britto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Renan Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aílton Baptista in the 90th minute of play. Renan Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aílton Baptista in the 94th minute of the match. In the 97th minute Dinei Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renan Britto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aílton Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. The AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Compostela FSCMZ were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
